Back at the Auto Expo, bike lovers were seen salivating at the prospect of owning a piece of the legend that the Triumph is. Such has been the response from India that we were soon flooded with Triumph-related queries! It is hence no secret that Indian biking enthusiasts are desperately waiting for the launch of Triumph motorcycles.

However, regulars here would remember that we reported when news emerged that the bike maker was allotted close to 40 acres of land at Narsapura, Karnataka.

This location was chosen owing to its proximity with the sea port that is situated nearby. The company initially planned to install a full-fledged manufacturing units to locally produce the bikes. This would have enabled them to price their products ultra competitively. However, thanks to some issues, the company would now be seen commencing its operations at its new facility near Manesar in Haryana.

It is now being said the company would commence sales this October! Triumph has already opened a purchasing office in Gurgaon and has hired a consultant to recruit in India. Triumph Motorcycles could have a base price of INR 5 lakhs.

But it seems to be dissappointing to me as Truimph has not displayed the Scrambler at the Auto Expo. Triumph Motorcycles. Sanjay Jorapur.
